JANUARY 2014

Thank you again for following Rospout Westies.  This spring (2014) is a very exciting one for us.  We have our new girl Rospout’s Ramblin Rose out of Erin and Casper (which you can check out on our preceding pages) who will be in the ring this spring.  She is a very nicely put together girl, great front, short back with good balance and a nice hard, straight coat.  Great attitude for the ring.  She took second in her class at Montgomery County last year (2013) and I am expecting some nice wins out of her this spring.  I took her home to mature and grow up a bit and now she is just right.  Keep an eye on her page for updates.

Secondly I am very proud and happy to announce our new boy from Vixan Kennels, Lucky Boy From Vixan.  This handsome little guy came by way of Beata Przgodzka of Vixan Kennels in Poland.  Beata was kind enough to trust me with this beautiful handsome boy.  And a nice boy he is, lots of bone, beautiful front and top line, great pigmentation, balance, nice head and just all around great boy.  I am very happy with him and can’t wait to see him in the ring also this spring.  Check out his pedigree on his page and keep looking for updates too.  Thank you Beata.

Anyone interested in westies I always suggest going to the AKC.org web page and checking breeds, terriers then the west highland white terrier.  Westies as I have said before are not for everyone, but neither are labs and germen sheppards.  Another great read it Westies From Head To Tail by Ruth Faherty.

If you have any questions use my email, I would love to talk dogJ  Also the West Highland White Terrier Club of America (westieclubamerica.com) is a great place to start if you are new to westies.  Read the breed standard if you are unfamiliar with the appearance of the westie.  Every breed of dog has a breed standard

Grace ‘Rospout’s Amazing Grace’ has started 2015 extremely well, with a Major Win, Best of Winners at Boardwalk Kennel Club under Mr. Jon R Cole, handled by Chrystal Murray

June 2015

Grace ‘Rospout’s Amazing Grace’ has become a champion at the Virginia Terrier in Richmond in July ,under judge Mrs. Mareth K. Kipp handled by Paul Class,
Nellie ‘Rospout Rambunctious Miss Nellie’  finished June 27 in Richmond at the Southern Maryland Kennel Club under Mrs. Pamela B. Peat. Handled by Crystall Murray

May 2016 - Lots going on this year.  Pups will be coming, the first in two years. Been busy showing Grace and helping with her sister Nellie.  Both got their championship in Richmond last summer. Having a litter requires a lot of time so I make sure my plate if empty and I can dedicate everything I have to the litter. These precious little ones are family first and it is very important to make sure they start out on a good solid, healthy start.

CH Rambunctious Miss Nellie has pups, nice healthy ones out of CH Lucky Boy From Vixan, born April 28, 2016.  A really beautiful litter, expecting some champions to be in the ring next year. Ch Rospout’s Ramblin Rose will be next. This will be her second litter; she has a champion out of her first litter sired by CH Svea’s Cash n Carry.  I have the breeding all lined up and am really excited about it.  Will post more when the time comes.

So for now, Grace, Sumo, Casper, Luke, Rose, Kiss, Marti and Adam send their love and hope your summer will be parasite free and tail wagging fun.  Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook.

2017

A little late in coming, but happy 2017 to everyone. This will be another exciting year here at Rospout..  We have Nellie and Lucky Boys daughter Cleo entering the ring.  Her very first show ever and she pulls off a Winners Bitch win for two points.  A very nice surprise at 8 months old.  She is settling into a very nice girl, with no small amount of self-esteem, hence the name Crazy Rhythm.  But then again she is a westie. She is blessed with a lot of great qualities and should finish very fast..Great attitude for the ring and loves to be the center of attention, that helps and the judges love it.

Secondly comes my Alex, you can see him on the boys page soon..  He is out of my Rospout’s Ramblin Rose and Lucky Boy. He is truly a handsome boy. Fun loving and quite a character.. First boy I have decided to keep in many years. But there are some nice dogs in the mom and pops pedigree and looks like they are come together in this little guy.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Keep watch for him to show up on the boy’s page in the coming days.

With spring and summer on us be sure to keep your furry ones safe from heartworm, fleas and ticks.  It is your responsibility to ensure that your guys are feed a good and balanced diet and given the attention they deserve  I am now using Natures Logic and really like it.  My guys love the taste and are healthy and active.  Look them up, their food contains no vitamin mix or any imported ingredients from China. They use whole foods to make a complete food. I mix in Trippett green tripe a couple times a week and also supplement with Canine Complete from Wholelistic Pet. A healthy pet will give you years of love and happiness.Take care and have a great summer and remember what you give you receive.
